Guild Starfires has defined the semi-hollow body electric guitar design since its debut on the music scene in the early 1960s. Maintaining this legacy and the airy, clear tone you would expect from these collectible instruments, the Starfire I DC (double cut) California Burst offers modern construction with a classic feel and authentic vintage tones.
With a mahogany top, back, and sides, and a solid mahogany block in the center for reduced feedback and clear sustain, the tonal woods of the Starfire I are versatile across all musical genres, from sparkling clean tones to thick, saturated sounds. Playing feels smooth and easy with the comfortable 24 3/4” scale length and the modern, slim “U” profile neck, while the neck-to-body joint at the 18th fret provides easy access to the upper register of the fingerboard. The Premium Guild Vintage 18 tuners with an 18:1 gear ratio and Tune-o-matic bridge ensure stable tuning, while the Guild Vibrato tailpiece adds vibrato capability and greater musical versatility.
