The Youth Cultural Bonus consists of a direct grant of €400 per person for the purchase of cultural products, services, and activities—both public and private—that fall under the categories specified in the regulatory guidelines. It will be granted to individuals who meet the requirements of having Spanish nationality, legal residence in Spain, being an asylum seeker, a temporary protection seeker, or a formerly wardship-dependent foreign national, and who were born in 2008 (turning 18 during 2026). This grant is usually provided in the form of a virtual prepaid card loaded with that maximum amount. You will need to apply for it through the official website of the Ministry of Culture between June and September, as soon as the application period opens.

Once activated, your €400 balance will normally be provided in the form of a virtual prepaid card. It works just like a regular prepaid card: in our store, you simply have to choose "card payment" and enter your details.

This is the fastest option. You will have it instantly within the mobile app, and it's extremely convenient to always carry with you on your smartphone.
The Physical Card
It is only issued in exceptional cases, when you do not have a compatible mobile device and you explicitly request it. In that case, you will have to wait a few days to receive it at the address provided in your application.
HOW ARE YOUR €400 DISTRIBUTED?
When applying for your Youth Cultural Bonus, you will have to choose between two modalities. You can allocate your €400 to a single category of cultural creation and training, which includes in-person and online cultural courses and workshops, musical instruments, artistic creation tools, and art supplies. Alternatively, you can choose the diversified modality and split the €400 across the following categories:

⚠️ Keep the exceptions in mind: The Youth Cultural Bonus can only be used on cultural products, services, and activities included in the regulations and sold by entities participating in the program. It is not allowed to use it to buy general electronics such as computers, mobile phones, or tablets, nor for general stationery, curricular textbooks, fashion, gastronomy, sporting events, craft products, or plastic and graphic arts. It also does not cover hardware, IT consumables, or general software, except for professional programs necessary for artistic creation.
