About the Standard Series
The instruments in the Standard series are the backbone of Martin; distinguished instruments that set the standard for the "Flat Top" acoustic guitar in the United States. The models in this series embody nearly two centuries of craftsmanship and technical innovation: a history built of wood and wire. These legendary guitars and the artists who played them helped establish country, folk, bluegrass, and rock. Today, we can hear the tone of these guitars within the American soundscape and in music worldwide.
Handcrafted in Nazareth, Pennsylvania, from solid wood using traditional construction methods such as dovetail neck joints and X-bracing. Martin's Standard Series guitars have likely been used by your musical heroes to create your favorite songs — an instrument whose impact on music is impossible to quantify.
