Having undergone an acoustic resonance enhancement (A.R.E.) process, this instrument offers the ideal amount of 'sustain' and the tonal characteristics of aged wood. Play like in your dreams thanks to its mahogany neck and ebony fingerboard. The guitar retains the classic FG headstock shape, adorned with the iconic logo on the fretboard. The traditional truss cover features the inscription “Since 1966,” commemorating the launch of Yamaha’s first FG models.
A.R.E. (Acoustic Resonance Enhancement) is a wood treatment technology originally developed by Yamaha. Through precise control of temperature, humidity, and atmospheric pressure, it manipulates the molecular properties of the wood to achieve ideal acoustic characteristics similar to those of well-played vintage instruments.
