Air Feel Types
Dry—Unprocessed sound that amplifies the direct signal from the pickup.
XY—Recreates the coincident mic technique using two microphones in an XY pattern. This focused stereo sound offers a good balance between strings and body resonance, ideal for chord strumming and muted strings.
AB—Simulates spaced microphones for a wide stereo image with naturally enhanced acoustic resonance. This full, rich presentation is perfect for solo guitar and fingerpicking.
ORTF—A stereo mic technique combining XY and spaced mic elements, resulting in a focused sound with greater depth and body resonance.
Mid-Side—A classic technique producing well-defined sound with wide stereo width. Adds a sense of distance and blends seamlessly with vocals and other instruments.
