The AD-10 features two input channels that allow you to set up different sounds for two live guitars, blend two pickups from a single instrument, or even use two instruments simultaneously. The signal path is designed to deliver warm, precise tone with ultra-low noise, and each input has adjustable sensitivity for fully optimized processing tailored to various pickup types.

Each channel can be customized with a four-band EQ section (including parametric mid-range bands) and a high-range low-cut filter. Unlike typical preamp equalizers, adjusting the AD-10’s EQ bands activates multiple interconnected parameters in the background, enabling subtle tone shaping. EQ can also be bypassed, and each channel’s phase can be independently adjusted for optimal sound control.

The AD-10 also includes numerous thoughtfully designed features to enhance your live performances. The soft-touch footswitches are discreet, ideal for low-volume acoustic settings, and can be configured to select memories, toggle effects, access the built-in tuner, and more. The AD-10’s looper provides a handy tool for practice sessions, jams, and creative stage use. The boost function allows you to increase volume for solos or reduce it during heavy strumming, with an adjustable tone control to shape the sound further.

Beyond its powerful tone-shaping capabilities, the AD-10 offers a wide range of high-quality, easy-to-use built-in effects. The single-control compressor provides more than meets the eye, utilizing BOSS’s acclaimed MDP technology to transparently control dynamics through intelligent processing. Acoustic guitars benefit greatly from the reverb, and the AD-10’s Ambience effect offers three high-quality reverb types tailored specifically for acoustic instruments. There’s also a delay with standard, modulation, and inverted modes, plus three stereo chorus variations renowned for widening the sound.

On the rear panel, stereo XLR jacks provide direct injection signals for audience amplification, while ¼-inch stereo jacks connect to your stage gear or headphones for monitoring. From the panel, you can send signals to outputs with or without effects, or assign inputs 1 and 2 to separate outputs. An effects loop allows connection of external effects, and a jack for one or two footswitches or an expression pedal enables control of looper functions, volume, Tap Tempo, feedback detection, and more. Additionally, the AD-10 functions as a two-in, two-out USB audio interface, enabling you to record tracks into a DAW or play back music from your computer through the AD-10’s audio outputs.
