About D'Addario and Planet Waves

D'Addario is a manufacturer of strings for musical instruments, primarily known for producing electric guitar strings. Originating from a family of craftsmen in the small Italian town of Salle, located in Pescara Province, they emigrated to New York after an earthquake, where they are now headquartered. A family-owned business, they are currently one of the world's leading string manufacturers.
