Description

The PRS SE P20E Black Dog Hair is a parlor-style electro-acoustic guitar that combines compact dimensions with a warm, well-defined, and surprisingly spacious sound. Its solid mahogany top, along with the mahogany sides and back, provides an organic response with present mids, smooth highs, and controlled bass.

The Tonare Parlor body is comfortable for extended playing and easy to transport, while the 24.72" short scale offers a pleasant feel under the fingers. Its hybrid PRS “X”/Classical bracing enhances top vibration and improves projection. The PRS-Voiced Fishman Presys VT system allows for amplification with discreet volume and tone controls located in the soundhole. Includes a PRS gig bag.

Our Opinion

We recommend the SE P20E for guitarists who value comfort and seek an intimate, warm, and highly musical sound. Its format favors fingerstyle, blues, songwriting, and gentle accompaniment, yet it maintains enough presence to hold its own when playing with a pick.

It’s not designed to compete in volume with a dreadnought but offers a more controlled, close-up response. That’s precisely its appeal: a manageable, inspiring guitar with a very recognizable character.
