From a sound perspective, the compact and closed design maintains the low-frequency response with a more dynamic midrange and greater punch. The addition of the tweeter provides extra high frequencies and, depending on the musician's preferences, can be adjusted to Hi, Low, or Off via its three-position switch.

The Rootmaster EVO II speakers are carefully built with lightweight plywood, reducing weight without compromising Ashdown's signature sound. The lightweight construction is complemented by smart design features such as a top-mounted handle for easy transport and stacking, and genuine Neutrik connectors that combine Jack and Speakon. Finally, the speaker features a durable Buffalo Tolex covering and a black fabric grille for a rugged finish that truly sets it apart from competitors.
