About Ampeg Amplification
The Ampeg brand was founded with the goal of meeting the amplification needs of bassists of the era to match the emerging electric guitar.
With the rise of Rock'n'Roll, their small tube combo amplifiers evolved into larger units suitable for big stages and growing concert audiences. Interestingly, they were pioneers in incorporating reverb into guitar amplifiers, predating Fender's famous Vibroverb.
