About Ampeg Amplification
The Ampeg brand was created with the idea of meeting the amplification needs of bassists of the era to keep pace with the emerging electric guitar.
As Rock'n'Roll exploded, their small tube combo amps evolved into larger units suitable for big stages and larger audiences at concerts. Interestingly, they were pioneers in incorporating reverb into amplifiers, predating Fender's famous Vibroverb.
