About Ampeg Amplification

The Ampeg brand was created with the idea of meeting the needs of bassists to amplify their sound, aligning with the emergence of the electric guitar.

As Rock 'n' Roll exploded, their small tube combo amps evolved into larger units suitable for big stages and larger audiences at concerts. Interestingly, they pioneered the inclusion of reverb in amplifiers, predating Fender’s famous Vibroverb.
