About Ampeg Amplification
The Ampeg brand was founded with the goal of meeting the amplification needs of bassists of the era to keep up with the emerging electric guitar.
As Rock 'n' Roll exploded in popularity, their small tube combo amplifiers evolved into larger units suitable for big stages and larger audiences. Interestingly, they were pioneers in incorporating reverb into guitar amplifiers, predating Fender's famous Vibroverb.
