DiMarzio DP124GB Sixties P Acoustic Bass Pickup Gloss Black
- Magnet: Alnico 5
- Resistance: 13.76 Kohms
- Cables: 4 wires
- Output: 162 mV
From its distinctive tone to its ultimate growl, the Sixties P embodies everything that made the vintage Fender Precision Bass sound great. Built on the sculpted metal cover shape of Relentless, DiMarzio uses vintage-style enamel wire and flush-mounted Alnico 5 rod magnets, fully loaded to maintain that rich Motown soul/funk tone of the 60s. The circuit board mounting system drops the height adjustment screws below the pickguard, eliminating finger hits, and the rounded corners feel more comfortable while playing.
About DiMarzio
The impact of DiMarzio pickups goes far beyond providing musicians with a new and powerful way to shape their sound. DiMarzio pickups literally made it possible for the next generation of guitar builders to challenge the status quo.
Simply put, DiMarzio pickups fueled instruments from Ibanez, Hamer, Charvel, BC Rich, Dean, Spector, Jackson, Sadowsky, SD Curly, and helped create a new sound. DiMarzio's fresh and often radical ideas were a key component for guitarists and builders with a future-focused vision. DiMarzio pickups were adopted by an incredibly talented generation of musicians who used them to redefine the technical and sonic boundaries of the instrument. DiMarzio helped give voice to their sonic expression. And that’s exactly what Larry DiMarzio is still doing today.
