The Amp Mode circuit is based on a MOSFET transistor, a popular type of transistor used in overdrive circuits because it has many "amp-like" characteristics. However, this circuit can have drawbacks. Many popular MOSFET boost circuits on the market produce a very noticeable crackle when their boost knobs are turned. This issue is resolved in this pedal, making it completely silent when adjusting the boost control and delivering nothing but a crushingly high and harmonically rich boost.
Boost
The single Boost control sets the overall gain for the Amp Mode. When the Boost control is turned fully counterclockwise, it does not increase the signal but acts as a unity gain buffer that boosts your guitar signal to prevent tone loss when using long cables, etc.
The single impulse control sets the overall boost for the AMP MODE. The AMP MODE is a true boost in the sense that when the impulse control is turned fully counterclockwise, it does not increase the signal but acts as a unity gain buffer that enhances your guitar signal to prevent tone loss when driving long cables, etc.
