About D'Addario and Planet Waves
D'Addario is a manufacturer of musical instrument accessories, primarily known for producing strings for electric guitars. In addition to strings, they manufacture and distribute a wide range of accessories (straps, cables, etc.) for musicians under the Planet Waves brand. The brand originates from a family of artisans from a small Italian town called Salle, located in Pescara province, who emigrated to New York after an earthquake, where they are now headquartered.
