George Tube Amps El Dorado Combo

1x12" low-wattage, high-end combo amplifier. Like all George amplifiers, the ElDorado is handcrafted using hand-wired, point-to-point techniques. The standard speaker is a Celestion Vintage 30, but it can also be fitted with a Celestion Blue Alnico or Gold Alnico upon request. The amp delivers 15 watts of pure class A power through a pair of TAD EL84-STR tubes in the power stage. Tube rectification is used. The preamp features a TAD E83CC Highgrade as the first tube, followed by a pair of TAD ECC83s. The sound is warm and rich in harmonics, ranging from clean, sparkling tones to gritty rock distortion that will impress many players. Alongside the Tornado, the ElDorado is the most tonally characterful amplifier in the GTA catalog. It rivals boutique American amps based on classic British circuits, but at a much more reasonable price. The Pentode/Triode switch halves the power output to around 7 watts.
