Bloom is a modern compressor pedal created by Jackson Audio designed to provide guitarists with maximum dynamic tonal control.

Like a compressor, the Bloom features an optical limiting circuit inspired by optical compressors, known for their transparency and subtlety. The Bloom V2 can deliver a very aggressive response in more extreme compression settings, but its true strength lies in its ability to add a gentle sweetness and roundness to the tone as the optical circuit works to smooth out any rough edges in the sound.
Compression Modes
You can access different compression modes by holding down the Comp switch. The press duration affects the compressor's attack, so shorter times result in less dynamic response. Depending on how long you press, you'll activate one mode or another:
- Limiter: 2.5 ms
- Country: 7.5 ms
- R&B: 50 ms
- Ballad: 120 ms
- Slide with auxiliary compressor: +120 ms

A Triple Device
The Bloom V2 manages the instrument's dynamics through precisely tuned optical compression, a 3-band EQ, boost and sustain circuits that can be activated separately or together, allowing full control over compression.
Bloom Function
The Bloom mode is activated by holding down the Bloom switch for an extended period, allowing the boost to gradually swell to its set level. Of course, the Bloom function also works in reverse, gradually returning the signal to its original level after the effect is turned off.
Parallel Compression
Inside the Bloom, there is an auxiliary compression circuit identical to the main compression circuit, with two internal settings for both Comp and Volume. This allows you to blend the compressed signal with the dry, creating what is known as parallel compression.
Active EQ
The Jackson Audio Bloom V2 pedal features a 3-band active equalizer with up to 12 dB of boost or cut per frequency band, enabling precise tone shaping. Additionally, pressing both footswitches simultaneously on the Jackson Audio Bloom V2 bypasses the equalizer in the signal path.
