AR Series
The Ibanez AR, historically also known as Artist, is one of Ibanez's classic series and one of the company's original designs. Its double cutaway shape, solid construction, and elegant aesthetic make it a distinctive alternative to more traditional designs.
This series is designed for guitarists seeking a comfortable, versatile instrument with good sustain, capable of handling rock, blues, fusion, and more classic sounds with ease. The AR series maintains the vintage vibe of the original Artist models but with modern features and a well-balanced response suitable for live performance or studio recording. According to Ibanez, the AR remains one of their most recognized and sought-after models in their catalog.
About IBANEZ
Ibanez is a guitar and bass manufacturer based in Japan. The name comes from the Spanish luthier Salvador Ibanez, whose excellent guitars were distributed in Japan by Hoshino Gakki. The recession of 1929 affected the company, leading to its closure in 1933. The Japanese market became underserved, prompting the importer in 1935 to start manufacturing Spanish-style guitars under the name "Ibanez Salvador," which later changed to simply "Ibanez".
