About the FG Series

When it was introduced in 1966, Yamaha's FG series proved that a great acoustic guitar didn't have to be expensive. Comfortable to play, with a rich, musical sound and excellent build quality, the original FG180 quickly became a benchmark, and many musical careers and hit records started with a FG guitar. Fifty years after the launch of the FG acoustics, the new range of guitars boasts the best FG sound in history while maintaining the same playing comfort and exceptional quality that have made them favorites among millions of guitarists. Wherever your musical journey takes you, this is where it all begins.
