The Fender California Vintage King is a dreadnought-style acoustic-electric guitar featuring an innovative Performance-X bracing pattern.
Its lightweight construction includes a solid Sitka spruce top and solid ovangkol back and sides, which allow for an easy production of a deep, robust sound with exceptional volume, projection, and detail.
An ergonomic "Modern V" profile was chosen for the okoume neck, along with a 25.5” (648 mm) scale length that provides optimal sustain. Its reverse-angled headstock, with six aligned tuning machines and a maple plate, gives it a distinctive look that carries Fender’s electric guitar DNA. The instrument also features an ovangkol fingerboard with binding, rectangular pearloid inlays for a retro appearance, vintage-style tuning machines for smooth and precise tuning, and bone nut and saddle that contribute to its magnificent harmonic character. The Fishman Sonitone Plus preamp system is designed for live performance. Its controls, located on the soundhole, allow you to blend the sound of a piezo pickup installed under the bridge with that of a transducer inside the body. This setup ensures you can reproduce the guitar's natural tone with the highest fidelity and reliability when connected to an amplifier or recording device. A vintage-style hard case is included.
