The DiMarzio DP116GN HS-2 is a stacked humbucker in single coil format designed to deliver a clean, defined sound with significant noise reduction. In humbucker mode, it provides a natural, bright response that is more open than a conventional humbucker, making it especially suitable for Strat-style guitars and high-gain setups.
Thanks to its 4-conductor wiring, it can also be used in single coil mode, offering a vintage character and maintaining a lower noise level than traditional single-coil pickups. DiMarzio recommends the HS-2 for any of the three positions and it can also be combined with other models in the HS series or used as the middle pickup in H-S-H configurations. This version features a green finish.
