Hot for Strat. Single-coil pickup with powerful response for Stratocaster and similar models. Compared to the SSL-5 and SSL-6, it offers a longer, fuller sustain tail with less high-end presence. The slightly taller pole pieces than its counterparts provide this pickup with great sensitivity and a wide magnetic field. This makes it perfect for aggressive playing styles. Typically used in the bridge position combined with moderate-output pickups. Great for very resonant and bright bodies (ash, alder...).
