The Fender California Vintage Malibu is an affordable concert-style electro-acoustic guitar featuring innovative Performance bracing. Its lightweight construction includes a solid Sitka spruce top and solid ovangkol back and sides, which help produce a smooth, precise sound with exceptional balance and tonal nuances.
To achieve this warm tone, a mahogany neck with an ergonomic "Modern V" profile has been chosen, along with a 25" (635 mm) short scale length. The slotted headstock, with six aligned tuning machines and a maple veneer, gives it a distinctive look marked by Fender's electric guitar DNA. The instrument also features an ovangkol fingerboard with binding, rectangular pearloid inlays for a retro aesthetic, vintage-style tuning machines for smooth, accurate tuning, and bone nut and saddle that contribute to its rich harmonic character. The Fishman Sonitone Plus preamp system is designed for live performance. Its controls, located on the soundhole, allow you to blend the sound of the piezo pickup installed in the bridge with a transducer inside the body. This setup enables you to reproduce the guitar's natural tone with maximum fidelity and reliability when plugged into an amplifier or recording device. A vintage-style hard case is included.
