The Fender California Vintage Malibu is an affordable concert-style electro-acoustic guitar featuring innovative Performance bracing. Its lightweight construction includes a solid Sitka spruce top and solid ovangkol back and sides, elements that facilitate producing a smooth and precise sound with exceptional balance and tonal nuances.
To achieve this warm tone, a mahogany neck with an ergonomic “Modern V” profile has been selected, along with a short 25” (635 mm) scale length. The slanted headstock with six aligned tuning machines and a maple veneer gives it a distinctive look, marked by Fender’s electric guitar DNA. The instrument also features an ovangkol fingerboard with binding, rectangular pearloid inlays for a retro appearance, vintage-style tuning machines for smooth and accurate tuning, and its bone nut and saddle contribute to its magnificent harmonic character. The Fishman Sonitone Plus preamp system is designed for live performance. Its controls, located on the soundhole, allow you to blend the sound from the piezo pickup installed in the bridge and an internal transducer. This setup ensures you can faithfully reproduce the guitar’s natural tone with high fidelity and reliability when plugged into an amplifier or recording device. A vintage-style hard case is included.
