The Fender California Vintage Palomino is a mid-sized auditorium-style acoustic-electric guitar featuring an innovative Performance-X bracing pattern. Its lightweight construction includes a solid Sitka spruce top and solid ovangkol back and sides, elements that facilitate the production of a precise and versatile sound with exceptional clarity, balance, and nuance.
An ergonomic "Modern V" profile was chosen for the mahogany neck, along with a 25.5” (648 mm) scale length that delivers optimal sustain. Its headstock, angled backward with six aligned tuners and a maple veneer, gives it a distinctive look infused with the DNA of Fender electric guitars. The instrument also features an ovangkol fingerboard with binding, rectangular pearloid inlays that lend a retro appearance, vintage-style tuning machines for smooth and accurate tuning, while its bone nut and saddle contribute to its magnificent harmonic character.
The Fishman Sonitone Plus preamp system is designed for live performance. Its controls, located on the soundhole, allow you to blend the sound from a piezo pickup installed under the bridge with that of a transducer inside the body.
