The Fender California Vintage Palomino is a mid-sized auditorium-style model featuring an innovative Performance-X bracing. Its lightweight construction includes a solid Sitka spruce top and solid ovangkol back and sides, elements that facilitate the production of a precise and versatile sound with exceptional clarity, balance, and tonal nuance.
An ergonomic "Modern V" profile was chosen for the okoume neck, along with a 25.5” (648 mm) scale length that provides optimal sustain. Its backward-angled headstock with six aligned tuning machines and a maple veneer give it a distinctive look, embodying the DNA of Fender electric guitars. The instrument also features an ovangkol fingerboard with binding, rectangular pearloid inlays that lend a retro appearance, vintage-style tuning machines for smooth and accurate tuning, while the bone nut and saddle contribute to its magnificent harmonic character.
The Fishman Sonitone Plus preamp system is designed for live performance. Its controls, located at the soundhole, allow you to blend the sound from a piezo pickup installed under the bridge with a transducer inside the body.
