This spirit of exploration has led to the creation of some of the most successful and popular production basses of all time. It is this same drive to bring innovative and relevant ideas to the forefront that serves as the foundation for an ongoing exploratory project, aptly named the Ibanez Bass Workshop.
The motivation behind each of these unique instruments comes from the personal desire of one or more members of Ibanez’s bass development team to meet the specific needs of particular bassists. These inventions may not be for everyone, but for those eager to explore new sonic perspectives through the bass: the Ibanez Bass Workshop project might be exactly what you're looking for.

About Ibanez
Ibanez is a guitar and bass manufacturer based in Japan. Its name is derived from Spanish luthier Salvador Ibañez, whose excellent guitars were distributed in Japan by Hoshino Gakki. The 1929 recession affected the company, leading to its closure in 1933. The Japanese market was left underserved, so the importer decided in 1935 to start manufacturing Spanish guitars on their own, distributing them under the name "Ibanez Salvador." Later, the name was shortened to "Ibanez".
