The 400 series continues Yamaha's tradition of high-quality craftsmanship and distinctive sound, building on the legacy of the BB series that has earned praise over its forty years of history. Whether you prefer the rich tone of the rosewood fingerboard or the brightness and clarity of the maple fingerboard, the precision and responsiveness provided by the angled neck joint secured with six screws, along with the clarity of the pickups specially wound for this series, will inspire you to perform at your best when it’s time to do so.
The body of the BB435 Teal Blue is made from classic alder, while the Yamaha neck features a multi-piece construction of maple and mahogany, along with the innovative "Miter" attachment system. Two angled screws pull the neck into the pocket, ensuring a secure fit, while four additional screws provide an especially stable connection. Additionally, the electric bass has a rosewood fingerboard with 21 medium-sized frets. The Yamaha VSP5n pickup in the middle position delivers a rich growl in the lows, while the Yamaha VSC5b at the bridge offers transparent and assertive sounds.
