Description

The 'headless' construction of the EHB basses and the specially designed body allow the bassist to maintain a similar playing position whether seated or standing. Its ergonomic, contoured design combined with its chambered body makes it a lightweight, well-balanced, and comfortable instrument, ideal for long performances or practice sessions. The upper half of the back of the body is inclined, enabling the bass to rest closer to the player's body for better control and a more ergonomic feel.

  • Graphite reinforcement in the neck

The upper half of the back of the body is inclined, allowing the bass to sit closer to the player's body for better control and a more ergonomic feel.

The Nordstrand Big Split single-coil pickups feature split coils with noise-canceling construction to reduce hum. Their tonal character is a hybrid P/J style, providing a rich, powerful, yet well-balanced tone that suits a variety of playing styles.

The 3-band Vari-mid EQ includes a variable mid frequency control, allowing for an incredibly wide range of tones. There is also a passive EQ bypass switch, so when the EQ is turned off, the treble control acts as a passive tone control.

The MR5HS bridge is specially designed for EHB basses and features a wide intonation range. Each saddle is independently and securely mounted to the body for maximum vibration transfer, and the saddles are adjustable for string spacing +/-1.5 mm, accommodating individual player preferences regardless of playing style. Teflon washers are used on each tuning machine for smooth tuning action.

About IBANEZ

Ibanez is a manufacturer of guitars and basses based in Japan. Its name honors Spanish luthier Salvador Ibáñez, whose excellent guitars were distributed in Japan by Hoshino Gakki. The 1929 recession affected the company, leading to its closure in 1933. The Japanese market was left without supply, so in 1935, the importer decided to start manufacturing Spanish guitars independently and distributed them under the name "Ibanez Salvador." Later, the brand was renamed simply "Ibanez."
