Developed by Ibanez, the exposed polar poles of the PowerSpan Dual Coil pickups produce a stronger signal and increase response at higher frequencies without sacrificing bass. The result is a tone rich in harmonic details and dynamic expression.

The 3-band EQ works together with a coil switch for maximum control over a wide range of professional bass tones. The Tap mode (single coil) creates a dynamic and punchy sound with superior articulation. The Series mode (humbucking) offers a warm, full tone, and the Power Tap mode gives you the best of both worlds: combining the clarity of the single coil with the thick low end of the humbucker.

The Accu-cast B500 bridge features adjustable saddles for variable string spacing of +/- 1.5 mm, accommodating the specific string spacing needs of each bassist.

About Ibanez
Ibanez is a guitar and bass manufacturer based in Japan. Its name comes from the Spanish luthier Salvador Ibáñez, whose excellent guitars were distributed in Japan by Hoshino Gakki. The recession of 1929 affected the company, which closed in 1933. The Japanese market was left without supplies, so in 1935 the importer decided to start manufacturing Spanish guitars on its own and distributed them under the name "Ibanez Salvador." Later, the name was changed to "Ibanez".
