About SR
For 30 years, the SR has offered bassists a modern alternative. With its ongoing popularity, Ibanez continually strives to meet the broader needs of a wide range of bass players, with different budgets. But regardless of the specifications, the heart remains the same: the SR continues to excite with its smooth, fast neck, lightweight body, and perfectly matched electronics.
About the pickups
Developed by Ibanez, the polar pole pieces of the PowerSpan Dual Coil pickups produce a stronger signal and enhance high-frequency response without sacrificing the bass. The result is a tone rich in harmonic detail and dynamic expression.
About Ibanez
Ibanez is a guitar and bass manufacturer based in Japan. Its name derives from the Spanish luthier Salvador Ibañez, whose excellent guitars were distributed in Japan by Hoshino Gakki. The recession of 1929 affected the company, which closed in 1933. The Japanese market was left underserved, so in 1935 the importer decided to start manufacturing Spanish guitars on its own and distributed them under the name "Ibanez Salvador." Later, the name was changed to "Ibanez".
