The 400 series continues Yamaha's tradition of high-quality craftsmanship and distinctive sound, building on the legacy of the BB series that has garnered praise over its forty years. Whether you prefer the rich tone of the rosewood fingerboard or the brighter, more defined sound of the maple fingerboard, the precision and responsiveness provided by the angled neck joint secured with six screws, along with the clarity of the pickups specially wound for this series, will inspire you to perform your best when it’s time to play.
The Yamaha BB434M Black features a classic alder body, while the neck is constructed from multiple pieces of maple and mahogany, using Yamaha’s innovative "Miter" joint system. Two angled screws pull the neck into the pocket, ensuring a particularly stable connection, complemented by four additional screws for extra security. The bass also has a maple fingerboard with 21 medium frets. It is equipped with a split coil pickup and a single-coil pickup with Alnico V magnets. The VSP5n pickup in the middle position delivers a rich growl in the lows, while the VSC5b in the bridge position provides clear, assertive sounds.
