The 400 series continues Yamaha's tradition of high-quality construction and distinctive sound with the renowned personality of the BB series, which has received praise over its forty-year history. Whether you prefer the fingerboard of rosewood or opt for the brighter, more defined sound of the maple fingerboard, the precision and responsiveness provided by the angled neck joint secured with six screws, along with the clarity of the pickups specially wound for this series, will inspire you to perform your best when the moment arrives.
The body of the BB434 Tobacco Brown Sunburst is made from classic alder, while Yamaha’s neck features a multi-piece construction of maple and mahogany, along with the innovative "Miter" attachment system. Two slanted embedded screws pull the neck into the neck pocket, while four additional screws ensure a particularly stable connection. Additionally, the electric bass has a rosewood fingerboard with 21 medium frets. The Yamaha BB434 Tobacco Brown Sunburst is equipped with a split coil pickup and a single-coil pickup with Alnico V magnets. The Yamaha VSP5n in the middle position delivers a rich growl in the lows, while the Yamaha VSC5b at the bridge provides transparent, assertive tones.
