Developed by Ibanez, the exposed polar features of the PowerSpan Dual Coil pickups produce a stronger signal and enhance high-frequency response without sacrificing the bass. The result is a tone rich in harmonic details and dynamic expression.

The 3-band EQ works together with a coil switch for maximum control over a wide range of professional bass tones. The Tap mode (single coil) creates a dynamic, punchy sound with superior articulation. The Series mode (humbucking) offers a warm, full tone, and the Power Tap mode gives you the best of both worlds: combining the clarity of the single coil with the deep lows of the humbucker. The Accu-cast B500 bridge features adjustable saddles for a variable string spacing of +/- 1.5 mm, catering to each bassist's specific string spacing needs.

About Ibanez
Ibanez is a guitar and bass manufacturer based in Japan. Its name comes from the Spanish luthier Salvador Ibañez, whose excellent guitars were distributed in Japan by Hoshino Gakki. The 1929 recession affected the company, which closed in 1933. The Japanese market was left unstocked, so in 1935, the importer decided to start manufacturing Spanish guitars on its own and distributed them under the name "Ibanez Salvador." Later, the name was changed to "Ibanez".
