Ebonol is a synthetic material made from layers of black paper and phenolic resin. An Ebonol fingerboard provides a firm, bright sound.
The flamed maple top showcases a beautiful wood grain, while the ash/okoume body offers a pleasing shine and good sustain.
The Nordstrand "Big Single" features a single coil within a humbucker-style casing, producing an aggressive, powerful, and full-bodied tone while maintaining the clarity characteristic of single-coil pickups.
The 3-band Vari-mid EQ includes a variable mid-frequency control, allowing for a wide range of tonal options. The EQ bypass switch offers precise tone adjustments; when engaged, the treble control becomes the master tone for the passive circuit.
About Ibanez Signature
The Signature series features various Ibanez models tailored to the needs of specific artists, with extensive modifications. The core idea behind Signature guitars is that artists can replace "their" guitar anywhere in the world and play the same model as their idol. Many features of Signature guitars have now been incorporated into mass production.
About Ibanez
Ibanez is a guitar and bass manufacturer based in Japan. Its name derives from Spanish luthier Salvador Ibáñez, whose excellent guitars were distributed in Japan by Hoshino Gakki. The 1929 recession affected the company, leading to its closure in 1933. The Japanese market was left underserved, so in 1935, the importer decided to start manufacturing Spanish guitars under the name "Ibanez Salvador," which later became simply "Ibanez."
