The Robot is an 8-bit low-fidelity pitch shifter with absolutely no personality. It is completely synthetic and transforms any input into a robotic, resynthesized sound.
- Pitch Transposer / Fuzz
- True Bypass
- Operates on 9V power
- Consumes 23mA
- Made in the USA
This pedal features a super lo-fi, flexible fuzz, octave up, octave down, and arpeggiator. All modes are controlled by the control knob, which sets the operating frequency of the chip, altering and distorting pitch-shifting and aliasing effects.
Controls:
- Control Knob: Located on the right side of the pedal. Controls the pitch of the effect. When turned fully clockwise, it produces the highest pitch. Turning it counterclockwise reduces the pitch or speed of the arpeggiator.
- Rotary Switch:
- Normal: the same tone with 8-bit digital conversion when the control knob is fully clockwise. Turning the knob down reduces the tone.
- Octave Down: turning the control knob fully clockwise produces a harsh octave-down sound. Turning the knob down shifts the tone further down.
- Octave Up: turning the control knob fully clockwise produces a harsh octave-up sound. Turning the knob down reduces the pitch.
- Arpeggiator: the effect arpeggiates in a sequence. The control knob adjusts the arpeggiator speed.
