The Fat/Bright switch completely changes the tonal profile, affecting both the fuzz and the octave, allowing you to choose between the Fat setting, which is thicker and emphasizes mids, or the Bright setting, which is more open with defined treble and slightly attenuated mids. It’s not demanding on the guitar: the response is precise with any pickup in almost any position on the neck, although the neck pickup will provide the clearest octave. If you need more octave, turn up the Tone, lower the Distortion slightly, and increase the Volume. It’s that simple.

The original circuit remains intact, with no changes to the sound or updates. It delivers the classic tone in a chassis now less than half the width of its predecessor.
