Updated with a new stunning Distressed Black Satin finish, the LTD Volsung is Lars Frederiksen's signature series guitar from the iconic punk rock band Rancid. Based on the ESP Viper body style, the Volsung is even more aerodynamic, maintaining the lightweight feel ideal for high-energy live shows and long recording/composing/jamming sessions.
Its slim mahogany U-shaped three-piece neck is exceptionally smooth and fast, featuring Lars's signature passive EMG pickups, the LF-DMF set. This pickup set includes a ceramic magnet at the bridge for excellent articulation and a V-shaped Alnico V magnet at the neck for a punchy, direct midrange response.
It also features a fixed neck construction for quick and smooth access to the higher frets, as well as a 24-fret ebony fingerboard with side dots that glow in the dark, Gotoh tuners, and a TonePros Locking TOM bridge and tailpiece.
