Boss developed the XS series with new methods and a custom DSP to enhance real-time pitch shifting, eliminating artifacts common in other designs. The XS-100 offers control over up to four octaves up or down with a sensitive, configurable pedal. It allows independent shift speeds, momentary pitch jumps with customizable range and time, and two footswitches to bypass the pedal or retune in semitone steps across an eight-octave range.

The XS-100 lets you deeply customize pitch control by adjusting range, response, and switch assignments. Features include detune for doubling effects, multiple alternate functions, and storage for up to 30 presets for live or studio use.

The XS-100 provides versatile connections for live use, supporting external pedals and real-time control. It includes MIDI I/O for advanced integration and a secondary output that replicates the original signal, enabling more complex parallel setups.
