A valve amp sounds best when pushed to its limits, with the power stage working hard at full volume. Unfortunately, those volumes aren’t practical without a soundproof room or the most understanding neighbors in the world.

The WAZA Tube Amp Expander Core solves this problem by capturing the amp’s speaker output with a reactive load and selectable options that accurately emulate combo and stack speaker responses. The signal goes straight to the 30-watt reactive excitation power stage, ready to connect to an external cabinet for low-volume practice. At the same time, the signal passes through speaker cabinet emulations and onboard effects processing, delivering a polished direct recording signal.

The companion editing software provides a studio lab to shape the raw amp sound in the WAZA Tube Amp Expander Core. Choose from 22 BOSS speaker cabinet emulations and five classic mic types (two available simultaneously), then fine-tune the perfect blend with position, distance, and level controls. You can optionally use up to two speaker IRs simultaneously, whether from the included Celestion Digital IRs or your personal IR library. The time alignment feature ensures precise combinations of IRs for flawless tone.

The WAZA Tube Amp Expander Core makes high-quality recording easy, even without technical expertise. Its Mix Assist function, created by experts, applies tonal contour curves to enhance your mix. Additionally, Air Feel technology recreates the natural sound of an amp in a room, delivering depth and realism beyond traditional microphones.

The WAZA Tube Amp Expander Core lets you use your custom gear in multiple ways simultaneously. Record directly to your DAW via USB or connect to a mixer or audio interface through the balanced stereo XLR outputs. Hook up an external speaker cabinet (4/8/16 ohms) for daily practice, or monitor through headphones using the front input, which includes Air Feel for an immersive spatial experience.

The WAZA Tube Amp Expander Core Editor allows you to add 64 of your favorite third-party speaker IR WAV files, in addition to the 10 included Celestion Digital IRs. Sound quality is guaranteed with support for mono or stereo files up to 500 ms, at 32-bit floating point and 96 kHz resolution. The optional dual Bluetooth adapter for audio and MIDI adds wireless capabilities, so you can play along with music streamed from your smartphone and use the mobile editor to adjust settings and load IRs.
