The PRS Stack Archon 50H + 2x12 combines the 50 W Archon 50 head with the Archon 2x12 Closed Back cabinet, creating a tube amplifier setup capable of delivering everything from wide, defined clean tones to high-gain sounds with tight bass, punch, and excellent note separation.
Its Clean and Lead channels feature three-band EQ, independent volume and Master controls, and a Bright switch. The Lead channel includes five gain stages, covering everything from crunch and classic rock to modern metal tones, while the closed-back cabinet with two Celestion V-Type speakers offers a balanced, powerful response with a greater sense of openness than a 1x12 configuration.

Our Opinion
If you're looking for a serious setup for rehearsal or live performance, this combination makes better use of the Archon’s punch than a smaller cabinet. The 2x12 moves more air, fills the stage more effectively, and maintains tight bass response even with high gain or low tunings.
It’s especially recommended for hard rock and metal, although the clean channel also responds very well to pedals. However, we wouldn’t recommend it as an exclusively home practice setup or if you need to transport it frequently without assistance, as it’s a powerful rig with a significant weight.
