About the Starfire
Based on the timeless shape of the Starfire II and III bodies, the Starfire I features a 2" thick hollow body with an additional block of wood beneath the bridge to enhance bridge stability and improve resonance.
Constructed with a carved maple top, back, and sides, the Starfire I delivers the tone of a hollow-body instrument with bright overtones and pronounced lows. The 24¾" scale length and the modern, slim "U" profile neck provide a fast, smooth feel, while the premium Guild Vintage 18 tuning machines and Tune-O-Matic bridge ensure easy string access and stable tuning.
Guild's Alnico II HB-2 humbucker pickups deliver a rich, vintage tone, and the push-pull coil-splitting feature allows for single-coil sounds from either pickup.
