About the Starfire

Based on the timeless shape of the Starfire II and III bodies, the Starfire I features a 2" thick hollow body with an additional block of wood beneath the bridge to enhance bridge stability and improve resonance.

Constructed with a carved arched maple top, back, and sides, the Starfire I delivers the tone of a hollow-body instrument with bright nuances and pronounced bass. The 24 3/4” scale length and the modern, slim "U" profile neck provide a fast and smooth playing experience, while the premium Guild Vintage 18 tuning machines and Tune-O-matic bridge ensure easy string access and solid tuning stability.

Guild's Alnico II HB-2 humbucker pickups deliver a rich, vintage tone, and the push-pull coil-splitting function allows for single-coil sounds from either pickup.
