About the Artcore Series
Ibanez first introduced the Artcore series in 2002, and it has since remained a staple for musicians worldwide. The combination of high-quality craftsmanship and affordability has created legions of devoted fans across genres such as blues, country, rock, and jazz. Artcore instruments offer musicians the purity of a vintage jazz box or a semi-hollow hybrid rock guitar. The line is highly regarded for its tone, sustain, and expressiveness.
About Ibanez
Ibanez is a guitar and bass manufacturer based in Japan. Its name comes from the Spanish luthier Salvador Ibañez, whose excellent guitars were distributed in Japan by Hoshino Gakki. The Great Depression of 1929 affected the company, which closed in 1933. The Japanese market was left underserved, so in 1935, the importer decided to start manufacturing Spanish guitars on their own, distributing them under the name "Ibanez Salvador." The name was later changed to simply "Ibanez."
