- Hollow Body Design
- Laminated maple body
- FT-5E Filter’Tron pickups
- Bigsby B60 bridge
- Gold hardware
- Walnut Stain finish
The G5422TG Electromatic Classic Hollow Body Double-Cut with Bigsby and gold hardware features a laminated maple body with vintage-inspired binding, as well as an internal block reinforcement to help reduce unwanted feedback. By increasing the rigidity and contact between the top and back of the body, the new internal block design also results in a sound with a faster attack, more focus, snap, and greater sustain. Paired with the FT-5E Filter'Tron pickups, the tone of this hollow-body guitar is characterized by a strong attack, classic tonal presence, clarity, and improved note definition.
About Gretsch
Gretsch was founded in 1883 in Brooklyn by Friedrich Gretsch, who gained a reputation for manufacturing percussion instruments. In 1939, they launched their first electric guitar, the Electromatic Spanish. Renowned artists like Chet Atkins have used instruments from this manufacturer, bringing them to the global stage.
