About the AF Series
The AF is the most traditional design in the Artcore series. The fully hollow body construction means there are no sound blocks in the body. This construction method produces a rich, complex tone, expressed with a pure voice and full body—characteristics most appreciated by demanding jazz musicians.
About Ibanez
Ibanez is a guitar and bass manufacturer based in Japan. Its name is derived from the Spanish luthier Salvador Ibáñez, whose excellent guitars were distributed in Japan by Hoshino Gakki. The recession of 1929 affected the company, which closed in 1933. The Japanese market was left without supply, so in 1935 the importer decided to start manufacturing Spanish guitars on its own, distributing them under the name "Ibanez Salvador." Later, the name was shortened to "Ibanez".
