The classic Guild Starfire V is a stunning semi-hollow body with a sleek 16 3/8" thin body and dual Guild LB-1 "Little Bucker" pickups, making it an excellent choice with an authentic Guild voice perfect for rock, blues, and roots styles. The fully mahogany body of the Starfire V features carved top and back, twin F-hole openings, elegant ivory binding, contrasting black and white binding, and a center block construction.
Other premium features include a three-piece mahogany/ash/mahogany neck, vintage-style "U" profile, 22 fret rosewood fingerboard with a 9 1/2" radius and pearl block inlays, three-way pickup selector switch, individual volume and tone controls for each pickup plus master volume, O-Matic bridge with ebony base, Guild vibrato tailpiece, Grover Sta-Tite tuning machines, and nickel hardware. Includes a plush-lined hard case.

The Guild LB-1 Little Bucker was first introduced in 1962 as an upgrade to single-coil pickups. Tonally, it has a bit more twang than a traditional PAF humbucker. Its resistance and inductance sit comfortably between a typical single-coil and a humbucker, contributing to the airy character of the LB-1 without sacrificing warmth. The LB-1 has a unique size, positioned between a mini-humbucker and a full-size humbucker.
