There are three principles behind the Ibanez Prestige line: precision, performance, and comfort. Prestige guitars combine high-tech manufacturing techniques with old-school Japanese craftsmanship to achieve true innovation in design and build quality. The series incorporates ideas and suggestions from musicians worldwide as foundational elements of the Prestige production process.
The Prestige fret treatment is a hallmark of this range. This technique involves meticulously working the frets to ensure they are as rounded as possible, resulting in an ultra-smooth and fast playing feel.
About the pickups
The Fishman Fluence Modern Humbuckers in the neck and bridge positions deliver a aggressive tone and powerful attack. The Fluence Single Width pickup in the middle position offers a warm, clear tone with impressive punch and minimal noise. The Voicing switch allows the pickups to shift from a modern, high-output active sound to a clear, smooth, and articulate tone.
About Ibanez
Ibanez is a guitar and bass manufacturer based in Japan. Its name derives from Spanish luthier Salvador Ibañez, whose excellent guitars were distributed in Japan by Hoshino Gakki. The 1929 recession impacted the company, leading to its closure in 1933. The Japanese market was left underserved, prompting the importer to start manufacturing Spanish guitars under the name "Ibanez Salvador" in 1935, which later evolved to simply "Ibanez".
