Designed to deliver speed, comfort, and maximum attack, the redesigned Series 5150 Standard Left Hand is an iconic blast from the past that combines vintage features with modern updates.
Like its predecessor, the 5150 Standard Left Hand features a modified Strat-style basswood body with a deeper upper horn. The reinforced maple neck with graphite supports offers a comfortable "C" profile, a hand-rubbed satin urethane finish on the back, a truss rod adjustment wheel mounted at the heel, and a "hockey stick" shaped headstock in matching color with an EVH logo decal. Built for smooth, fast playability, the 12"-16" compound radius ebony fingerboard has 22 jumbo frets and cream-colored dot inlays.

While the famous original model featured only a single humbucking bridge pickup, the new 5150 is equipped with a HH pickup configuration controlled by a three-way switch on the upper bout. The custom-designed EVH Wolfgang Alnico 2 humbucking bridge pickup delivers the perfect amount of punch and articulation with a sweet sustain and thick, chunky rhythm tones in a perfectly balanced EQ curve. The EVH Wolfgang Alnico 2 neck humbucker provides warmth, balls-to-the-wall overdrive, and infinite sustain without sacrificing articulate cleans when the volume is rolled back. A custom low-friction volume knob ensures smooth volume swells, while the high-friction tone knob stays in place even if accidentally bumped. An added feature is a lower kill switch that allows you to mute your guitar for rhythmic, staccato effects—think "You Really Got Me."
Adorned with a EVH branded top-mount Floyd Rose bridge with "dive-bomb" certification, the locking tremolo features fine tuners for each string and a patented EVH D-Tuna for instant drop-D or standard tuning switching.
About EVH
The acronym EVH immediately makes us think of Eddie Van Halen's extravagant riffs and solos. Alongside Peavey, Eddie collaborated on the creation of his signature guitar, the EVH Wolfgang, named after his son. Shortly after, in 2009, he launched his own signature line, which continues to be endorsed by Fender to this day.
