This polyphonic pitch shifter perfectly transposes your tone in two different directions within a range of +/- 3 octaves: transpose upward, downward, or both simultaneously! Stunning effects such as hits and dive bombs, curves, harmonies, cross-fades between your dry and transposed sounds, and pitch shifts—this pedal does it all.

The 11-position Shift switch selects the maximum transposition starting at D (Detune), a 17-cent shift that creates a chorus or doubling effect. The Dual mode outputs two signals with pitch change. The first follows the Shift knob as if in UP mode. The transposed second signal depends on whether the Slammi Plus is set to Pitch or X-Fade. In pitch mode, the secondary shifted signal doubles at the same rate as the primary signal.

When in X-Fade mode, the secondary signal is set with the Pitch Mix knob and is not doubled. Interval options are available in half-step increments up to +/- 1 octave. The volume of the secondary signal decreases as you move the pedal from heel to tip. Electro Harmonix is one of those legendary companies that has maintained a strong presence in the market since 1968, when guru Mike Matthews founded the brand in New York City.

Mike balanced his work between IBM and his home garage, where he built pedals for many years. His first creation was the LPB-1, a very simple booster-line driver that quickly gained fame.

In the early 1980s, Electro Harmonix was forced to close due to the influx of Asian companies like Roland/Boss, Ibanez, and Tokai entering the musical instrument market.
